Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Masters or Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Kansas state licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Hold a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and the special education process.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
As a School Psychologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students needs.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop interventions that support student learning and well-being.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans.
- Providing direct counseling and mental health support to students.
- Offering crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed.
- Analyzing data to monitor student progress and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Facilitating professional development and training for school staff on mental health topics.
