Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Ypsilanti, MI area. This is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact students' communication skills and academic success through expert therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student success.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Provide education and training to staff and families on communication strategies.
- Stay informed on current trends and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Michigan state SLP license (required).
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred).
- Michigan Department of Education certification for school-based practice (required).
- Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy settings (preferred).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
