Job Description: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Overview:
BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role at a high school in Connecticut. The selected candidate will work exclusively with students enrolled in self-contained classroom environments. This position involves providing essential speech and language services to students with diverse disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and Multiple Disabilities (MD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to high school students in self-contained classrooms.
- Assess, implement, and manage both low-tech and high-tech AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) supports tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate effectively with two other high school SLPs to ensure a cohesive approach to speech-language services.
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans and progress reports for students, aligned with their IEP goals.
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active Connecticut SLP licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility).
- Previous experience working with students with ASD, ID, and MD is preferred.
- Proficiency in AAC devices and technology is strongly desired.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
