Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role with school districts in New Orleans, LA. Requirements:
To apply for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Active Louisiana State Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school or educational setting is preferred
- Ability to pass background checks as required by state and local regulations
- Valid Louisiana Driver's License (if required for travel between campuses)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions
- Provide direct speech therapy to students, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success
- Monitor and document student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary
- Assist in the development and modification of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Attend IEP meetings and provide input on speech and language goals and objectives
- Provide training and support to parents and school staff on speech-related concerns and strategies
