Job Description: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Position Type: Full-Time, Itinerant Role
Location: High Schools in Maryland
Work Hours: 7:20 AM - 2:40 PM
Caseload: Approximately 40-50 students (efforts are made to maintain manageable caseload sizes)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations.
- Manage cases, including maintaining compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct therapy services both inside and outside the general education setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress.
- Document student progress and maintain required records and reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
Qualifications:
- Must hold valid Maryland licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- SLP-Assistants (SLP-As) are not eligible for this position.
- Ability to work on-site; remote work is not available.
