Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students educational goals.
- Maintain detailed documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expert input on communication goals.
- Educate and train staff and families on strategies to support speech and language development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations.
- Experience working in a school-based setting (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
