This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced OT to work with a diverse student population, from Pre-K through 12th grade, in a dynamic school setting.
Position Overview:
- Location: South Burlington, VT

- License Required: Active Vermont Occupational Therapist License
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of students motor, sensory, and cognitive development to create individualized treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy to students, helping them develop and improve skills in fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the students educational experience.
- Individual & Group Sessions: Provide both individual therapy and small group interventions based on student needs.
- Program Development: Develop and implement therapeutic programs to support students in accessing their education and achieving independence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy plans, and progress reports.
- Compliance: Ensure that all therapy practices and services are in compliance with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Vermont Occupational Therapy License
- Previous experience working with students in a school-based setting is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of sensory integration, motor development, and educational adaptations
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying abilities
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain clear documentation and meet deadlines
