Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students learning and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans and IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide counseling services to students struggling with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Consult with teachers and administrators to enhance classroom environments and address student concerns.
- Support crisis response efforts, including de-escalation and intervention.
- Monitor the progress of students receiving services and adjust strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- A masters degree or higher in school psychology from an accredited program.
- A valid Michigan School Psychologist Certificate issued by the Michigan Department of Education.
- Completion of a supervised internship in school psychology, as mandated by state regulations.
- Familiarity with Michigan special education laws and processes.
- Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred.
