Qualifications:
- Certification: Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Education: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field is required.
- License: Must have an active and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in New York or be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of New York.
Position Details:
- Work Setting: This is an onsite position located in the heart of Cortland, NY, within a dynamic and supportive school district. You will work directly with students, teachers, administrators, and other professionals in a collaborative setting.

- Caseload: You will work with a diverse caseload of students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade, offering you the chance to work with a variety of speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Speech and Language Therapy: Provide individual and group speech therapy services for students with communication difficulties, focusing on articulation, fluency, language development, and voice disorders.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs that are personalized to meet the unique needs of each student. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to track and measure student progress.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to share valuable insights on how to integrate speech and language goals into daily classroom activities. Participate in regular team meetings to ensure each student's needs are met.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Maintain detailed records of each student's progress, providing regular updates through reports and IEP meetings. Use data-driven methods to assess student needs and adjust therapy goals as required.
- Advocacy and Support: Serve as an advocate for students with speech and language impairments, ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations and support to succeed academically and socially.
