Required Qualifications:
- Certification: Must have the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Education: A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is required.
- License: Must have an active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in New York or be eligible for licensure.
Position Details:
- Work Setting: This full-time, onsite position is located in the welcoming community of Youngstown, NY, where youll be an integral part of a student-centered school district. You will work directly with students to provide speech and language therapy in a supportive educational environment.
- Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 employment offering both job stability and professional growth.
- Caseload: Your caseload will include Kindergarten through 12th grade students, offering a diverse range of experiences and opportunities to work with students of varying needs.
Responsibilities:
- Speech Therapy Services: Provide individual and group therapy to students with speech and language disorders, including articulation issues, fluency disorders, voice problems, and language delays.
- IEP Development: Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, ensuring goals are met through collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Collaborative Support: Partner with educators and parents to integrate speech therapy goals into classroom activities and support overall student development.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly assess and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and provide feedback to parents and staff.
- Student Advocacy: Advocate for students to ensure they receive necessary accommodations and support, both academically and socially, in order to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
