Qualifications for School Social Worker Position:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Current Minnesota Social Work License (LGSW, LISW, or equivalent)
- Prior experience in school social work or working with students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and school staff
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide school-based social work services to elementary or secondary students
- Participate in IEP meetings to assess students needs and contribute to the development of goals
- Conduct social-emotional assessments to identify student needs and strengths
- Develop and implement interventions based on individual student goals outlined in their IEP
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided
