Job Description: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Grade Levels: 6th - 8th Grade
Location: Massachusetts (MA)
Schedule: 7:45 AM - 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 18th
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in grades 6-8.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, including speech, language, voice, and fluency issues.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to support students communication needs in the classroom environment.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and parent conferences as required.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Massachusetts.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Previous experience working with middle school students is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school-based setting.
