Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual or group needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student development and achievement.
- Provide counseling services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, contributing insights to support plans and accommodations.
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide resources to students and families in need.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support a positive and inclusive school climate through consultation and staff development.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Licensure: Valid Georgia School Psychologist Certification issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).
- Education: Specialist-level degree (Ed.S.) or higher in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Experience: Previous experience in school-based settings preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and meet district-specific clearance requirements.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a school environment.
