Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Houston, TX area. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a vibrant school district while supporting students with diverse speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bilingual speech and language therapy services to students, ensuring effective communication support in both English and Spanish
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings to diagnose speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to create and execute therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as necessary
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress, treatment plans, and IEP updates
- Participate in IEP meetings and other educational meetings as needed
- Provide consultation to staff and parents regarding strategies to support student language development
Qualifications:
- Active Texas State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required
- Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
