The COTA will assist in providing therapy services to students with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges, helping them achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized therapy plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving motor and cognitive skills.
- Document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive care.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Active New MexicoCOTA license required.
- At least one year of experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
