Position Overview:
As a School Psychologist in Frankfort, you will be responsible for working directly with students in K-12 settings to assess their emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. You will collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement personalized intervention plans that support student success. You will also provide counseling services, conduct psychological assessments, and contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Psychological Assessments: Administer psychoeducational evaluations to identify students' cognitive, academic, and emotional strengths and challenges.
- Behavioral and Emotional Support: Create and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to individual student needs, focusing on improving both academic performance and emotional well-being.
- Collaboration: Work with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure students receive the necessary support to succeed in school and beyond.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate and ongoing support during crisis situations to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Professional Development: Participate in continuous learning opportunities to stay informed about the latest developments in the field of school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active Kentucky state licensure as a School Psychologist or eligibility to obtain licensure in Kentucky.
- Experience: Previous experience working with students in K-12 settings, particularly those facing emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges, is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving abilities, and a compassionate, student-centered approach.
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite in Frankfort, KY within an innovative and supportive school district.
- Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 employee status.
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, promoting a great work-life balance.
- Caseload: Work with students across Kindergarten through 12th grade, providing individualized support and intervention.
