Position Overview:
As a School Psychologist in Humble, you will be at the heart of supporting students emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. You will work directly with students, families, and educators to implement effective interventions, conduct psychological assessments, and provide counseling services. Your role will focus on promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment and helping students succeed both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Psychological Assessments: Administer comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students cognitive, emotional, and academic development.
- Behavioral and Emotional Interventions: Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to support students facing behavioral, academic, and emotional challenges.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to create and maintain individualized intervention plans for students in need of support.
- Crisis Management: Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to students during times of need, ensuring their well-being and safety.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional growth opportunities to enhance your skills and remain up to date with best practices in school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active Texas state licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Texas).
- Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with behavioral and emotional challenges, is highly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, along with a compassionate, student-centered approach to care.
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite at schools within the Humble, TX district.
- Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 employee status.
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Caseload: Work with students across Kindergarten through 12th grade, developing tailored interventions to support each students unique needs.
