Position Overview:
As a School Psychologist in South Wayne, you will have the opportunity to work directly with students in K-12 settings, providing psychological assessments, counseling services, and intervention strategies to support their academic and emotional growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the appropriate services they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Psychological Evaluations: Administer psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students cognitive, academic, and social-emotional development.
- Behavioral and Emotional Interventions: Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
- Collaboration with Educators and Families: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure students receive the support they need for optimal growth.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during crisis situations, offering counseling and assistance to students as needed.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Stay current with trends in school psychology and engage in professional development to enhance your skills.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field.
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin state licensure as a School Psychologist (PPS Credential or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students is preferred, particularly in providing support for students with emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with others, and a compassionate, student-centered approach to psychological support.
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite at schools in South Wayne, WI, within a supportive and engaging school district.
- Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 employee status.
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced lifestyle.
