Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Licensure: Current California Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Credential: California teaching credential (SLP Services Credential) or eligibility to obtain one.
- Background Check: Ability to pass all state and district background checks.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and goals for students.
- Providing direct therapy services to students, individually or in groups.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and district policies.
- Participating in IEP meetings to develop and review individualized education plans.
