Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify and evaluate speech, language, and communication challenges in students.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on assessment results.
- Provide therapy services in individual and group settings to support student communication and academic success.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support.
- Maintain comprehensive records of student progress, session details, and required documentation.
- Offer training and resources to educators and parents to aid in the development of students communication skills.
- Stay informed on the latest developments and practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Louisiana SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP preferred).
- Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and meet local district requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
