Blazer Jobs is excited to collaborate with a school district in Ypsilanti, MI, to fill a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position. We are seeking a dedicated SLP who is passionate about making a positive impact on students' communication skills and overall academic success.
Position Overview: As an SLP, you will work closely with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure each student reaches their full communication potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet student goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate with educators and families to support students' communication development
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of educational plans
- Monitor and track progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (school experience preferred)
- Valid Michigan SLP license and certification
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to speech-language pathology in schools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
