Occupational Therapist Full-Time Position
Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time role with school districts in the Kansas City, MO area. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support students' growth and development in a collaborative and rewarding environment.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: A Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: A current Missouri state license as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility to obtain one before starting.
- Certification: NBCOT certification is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse needs and work collaboratively with staff and families.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments to identify students' needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Providing therapy services in individual or group settings to improve students' academic and functional performance.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students progress.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to goal setting and progress evaluation.
