Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Providing direct therapy services to students in group and individual settings.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Collaborating with school staff to create inclusive classroom environments.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to remain up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- A valid Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
