Blazer Jobs has partnered with a school district in the Belle Chasse, LA area to hire a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is within a special education setting, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a special education setting.
- Conduct assessments, diagnose speech and language disorders, and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success.
- Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Ensure compliance with all state and district regulations.
Requirements:
- State licensure and certifications as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Louisiana are required (please specify all required certifications and credentials).
- At least one year of experience as an SLP, preferably in a school or special education setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for working with students with diverse needs.
