Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Possess an active Wisconsin Occupational Therapist license
- Hold a current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Meet all local and state requirements for school-based practice, including:
- Completion of a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license for school-based OT
- Completion of a fingerprint clearance and background check
- Compliance with Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) regulations
Have
previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school setting

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students motor, sensory, and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support academic success
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Support students in developing fine motor, self-care, and adaptive skills necessary for classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to enhance student outcomes
