Occupational Therapist (School-Based, Full-Time)
Location: Methuen, MA
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time position with school districts in the Methuen, MA area.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Certification: Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist License
- Experience: Previous experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist preferred
- Additional Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Massachusetts Board of Registration in Allied Health Professions license
- Must have a National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Compliance with Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) requirements for school-based therapy
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student success
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy into the learning environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
