BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position in Minneapolis, MN. This is a part-time role, offering 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), where the OT will provide therapy services to students to help them improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and other essential skills for academic and social success. The ideal candidate will have experience working in schools and be committed to making a positive impact on student development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments to evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students based on assessment results and IEP goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and small group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational and functional needs.
- Educate and train school staff on strategies to support students with sensory or motor difficulties in the classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students goals and objectives.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions as needed to ensure goals are being met.
- Support the development of students' self-regulation, independence, and participation in classroom activities.

- Position Type: Part-Time, Contract (2 days per week Tuesdays and Thursdays)
- Experience: Prior experience as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting is preferred.
- Qualifications:
- MN State Occupational Therapy License (Required)
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly with fine motor and sensory processing needs
- Knowledge of school-based interventions and IEP development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a part-time caseload
- Familiarity with school systems and the ability to work within an educational team
