Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district in the Thermal, CA area to hire a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is based in a special education setting, where the SLP will provide vital services to students in need. Bilingual applicants are preferred for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students in a special education environment
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders, and create treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Track student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary
- Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and student progress
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in California (please list specific licensure and certification requirements)
- At least 1 year of experience in the field is preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants are preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
