Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Full-Time (Houston, TX)
Position Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Certification:
- Valid Texas SLP license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
- Compliance with all local and state requirements for school-based SLPs.
- Education:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Experience:
- Prior experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for a variety of speech and language disorders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals (IEPs).
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students academic and social success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student supports.
- Stay updated on evidence-based practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
