Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This a part time role 10-12 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech therapy services
- Conduct speech therapy screenings under the supervision of an SLP
- Implement individualized therapy plans and track student progress
- Document therapy sessions and student progress reports
- Work with students in a variety of educational settings to support their communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students academic and social development
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Education: Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited program
- Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of Indiana
- Experience: At least one year of experience in a speech therapy assistant role or related field is required
- Other Requirements: CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and interventions
- Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Plan) processes is a plus
- Ability to work in a school-based setting and assist in a variety of educational environments
