Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Commerce City, CO area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to support students in achieving their communication goals.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Associates degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
- Certification: Active Colorado SLPA License issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
- Experience: Prior experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in a school or pediatric setting
- Must meet all local and state requirements for employment in a Colorado school district, including:
- Completion of a board-approved SLPA program
- Compliance with state fingerprinting and background check regulations
- Up-to-date TB test and immunization records
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing therapy services to students
- Implement treatment plans and intervention strategies as directed by the supervising SLP
- Work with students individually and in group settings to support communication goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards
