Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Carmichael, CA
Applicants must have a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) to be considered for this role. Applicants that do not meet these credentials will not be considered.
Job Duties in a Special Education Setting:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students with mild to severe communication disorders.
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each student's needs.
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and special education regulations.
Federal and State Requirements (California):
- Must hold a valid California Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board (SLPAB).
- Certification from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for a Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential is required to work in schools.
- Previous school-based experience is preferred.
