Requirements

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Possess an active Washington SLP license issued by the Washington State Department of Health
Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Hold or be eligible for a Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate
Have previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school or pediatric setting
Pass all required background checks and fingerprinting

Responsibilities

Key duties for this role include:

Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders in students
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans (IEPs) to support student progress
Providing direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and group settings
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment
Maintaining accurate documentation and tracking student progress according to state and district guidelines
Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to ensure student success
