Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to support our students in Oakland, CA. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services that enhance students' communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language treatment plans.
- Conduct speech-language screenings and document findings.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' communication goals.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license.
- Minimum of one year of experience as an SLPA.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team.
