Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Elmhurst, IL

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Elmhurst, IL area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to provide high-quality therapy services to students.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

Hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Possess an active Illinois SLP license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
Obtain an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (preferred but not required)
Have prior experience working as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
Meet all local and state requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and district-specific clearances

Responsibilities

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, key duties may include:

Conducting assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to support students' educational goals
Providing direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and state guidelines
Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records for reporting and compliance
Ensuring adherence to Illinois state regulations and district policies for school-based therapy services
