Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a school-based team in Tallahassee, FL. You will assess and treat students with speech and language disorders, helping them develop essential communication skills for success in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific student needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students in a school setting.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure that strategies are implemented across the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Consult and train school staff and parents on communication strategies for student success.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Florida State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Minimum of one year of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting.
- Knowledge of special education practices, IEP development, and communication disorders.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
