We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the school team in Lapeer, MI. This full-time position will involve working with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade across the district, providing speech and language services to students with a range of communication needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations and assessments for students in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create effective intervention strategies.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting goals and services as needed.
- Attend IEP meetings and provide feedback on student progress.
- Offer guidance and strategies to staff and families to support students' communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in a school setting with K-12 students is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and speech and language therapy practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
