Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) for a full-time position with school districts in the Houston, TX area. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about helping students develop essential communication skills.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this position:

Education: Must hold an Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.

Certification: Must have an active Texas SLPA license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

Experience: Prior experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in a school setting is preferred.

Compliance: Must meet all additional state and district-specific requirements, including background checks and clearances.
Applicants who do not meet the outlined requirements will not be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering therapy services to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs).

Work one-on-one or in small groups to implement speech and language intervention programs.

Support students in improving articulation, fluency, voice, and language processing skills.

Prepare materials and assist with speech and language evaluations under the supervision of an SLP.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and document therapy sessions.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication needs in the classroom.
