Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered:

Hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Possess an active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology license
-
Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred) or be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship (CFY)

Obtain a valid Louisiana Department of Education Ancillary Certificate for school-based practice

Have prior experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting

Pass all required background checks and fingerprinting

Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student success

Provide direct and indirect therapy services in accordance with IEP goals

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create effective intervention strategies

Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

Support students with articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders
-
Stay up to date with state regulations and best practices in speech therapy
