Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
We have a full-time school psychologist position available in Marion, NC, offering an opportunity to support the mental health and academic success of students within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized interventions and support plans to address students' mental health and educational challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create and maintain effective support strategies for students.
- Provide individual and group counseling to help students develop coping skills and achieve their academic goals.
- Offer guidance on behavior management and social-emotional learning programs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to interventions as needed.
- Participate in school crisis intervention teams and contribute to developing crisis response plans.
- Advocate for students mental health needs and ensure that appropriate resources and support are available.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of educational and psychological assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
