We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Position Overview:
As an SLPA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Your responsibilities will include implementing therapy plans, working directly with clients, and providing valuable feedback to the supervising SLP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized therapy plans developed by the SLP.
- Conduct therapy sessions with clients, focusing on speech, language, and communication skills.
- Provide support and reinforcement to clients during therapy sessions.
- Collect and record data on client progress and report findings to the supervising SLP.
- Maintain and organize therapy materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with the SLP, clients, and their families to ensure effective communication and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of therapy strategies.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
- Valid SLPA license or certification in California.
- Previous experience as an SLPA or in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using therapy materials and technology.
