Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position within school districts in the Pittsfield, MA area. We are looking for compassionate professionals committed to helping students improve their communication and language skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' specific communication needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings, focusing on improving speech articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and other areas of need.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs in various settings.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure continued development.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of student goals and accommodations.
- Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on communication strategies and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech-language services in schools.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current SLP licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school-based speech-language services.
