Position Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students. This role requires an empathetic and skilled professional who can collaborate with educational teams to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Individualized Therapy: Create and implement personalized treatment plans to address each students specific needs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to ensure a supportive and integrated approach to student care.
- IEP Development: Contribute to the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), establishing clear goals and monitoring student progress.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress, ensuring adherence to district policies and state regulations.
- Family Communication: Engage with families to provide insights, support, and resources related to their childs communication development.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Texas.
- Certifications: ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Regulatory Compliance: Must meet all local and state requirements and regulations to be eligible for this position.
