Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Richmond, CA, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position involves working with students with mild to severe disabilities across two school sites. Bilingual Spanish candidates are preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in TK-8th grade at one school site
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in TK-5th grade at another school site
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and document student progress
- Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
- Travel between two school locations to provide services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings
- Ability to travel between school locations
