Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Wellington, KS. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work across an entire school district, providing essential psychological services and support to students, educators, and families.
Position Details:
- Location: Wellington, KS
- Start Date: Immediate
- Hours: Full-time (M-F)
- Caseload: Full district coverage, working with students across all grade levels (K-12). You will collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to assess student needs, develop intervention strategies, and support the overall academic and emotional well-being of students.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs and determine eligibility for special education services.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional issues.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and external agencies to create and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert guidance on student mental health and development.
- Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to interventions as needed.
Special Requirements:
- Must hold a valid School Psychologist license in the state of Kansas.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, assessment tools, and evidence-based practices in school psychology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
