Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for a full-time contract Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position in Winters, CA. This school-based role is an excellent opportunity for experienced COTAs who are passionate about supporting students in their developmental and educational needs. The position is for maternity leave coverage January 2025-May 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy services to students with various physical, developmental, and cognitive challenges.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Document student progress and collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students educational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations regarding occupational therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Must meet all local and state regulations for practicing as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in California.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and interventions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
