Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapists (PTs) for a full-time position within school districts in the Boston, MA area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with students of all ages to help them achieve their physical goals and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students physical abilities, needs, and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' physical therapy needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving strength, mobility, coordination, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the educational environment.
- Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives.
- Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students' physical needs in various settings.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based physical therapy services.
Requirements:
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
