Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position within school districts in the Sanford, FL area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all local and state requirements and are passionate about supporting students' communication and language development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech and language needs in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech and language disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication.
- Provide direct therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans to achieve successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input on student goals, accommodations, and modifications.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports.
- Stay informed on best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
- Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Completion of required background checks and fingerprint clearance as mandated by Florida state law.
