Position Overview:
As a Speech Language Pathologist with Blazer Jobs, you will providingservices to students in a school setting. This role involves working closely with educators, families, and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust therapy plans as needed.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following:
- Valid Illinois license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Current state teaching certification or eligibility.
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
