Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position in Grand Rapids, MI. We are currently conducting open interviews for this school-based role and are looking for skilled professionals who are dedicated to fostering communication skills and enhancing student learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensiveassessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and customized therapy plans to address specific student needs.
- Deliver engaging virtual speech therapy sessions to students, focusing on improving communication skills and supporting academic achievement.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor and report on student progress, and adjust therapy plans as necessary.
Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:
- Valid Michigan license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Current state teaching certification or eligibility.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
